Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-10-19
These terms are an agreement between you and ParallelTPA LLC (“we”, “us”) about your use of Kairos. By creating an account you accept them. They are short on purpose; the important parts are billing, your data, and what we are and aren’t responsible for.
Your account
You need a Google or Apple account to sign in, and you must be at least 16. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for who you invite into a workspace you own. Keep your sign-in provider secure; we can’t recover an account whose Google or Apple login is lost.
Plans, trials and billing
- Every new workspace starts with a 14-day trial of the Pro plan. No card is needed and nothing is charged during the trial.
- After the trial, a workspace needs a paid plan to keep tracking time. Reading and exporting existing data keeps working without one.
- Plans are billed to the workspace, monthly or yearly, in advance, by Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe and on the pricing page; we may change them for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice in the app.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, we will retry and tell you. If it keeps failing, the workspace goes back to read-only until it is resolved.
- Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
Your data
What you put into Kairos — clients, projects, time, invoices — is yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export it and you can delete your account, which deletes the workspaces you own.
Invoices you create in Kairos are your invoices. You are responsible for their accuracy, for the rates you charge, and for any tax on what you bill. If you connect your own Stripe account, your relationship with Stripe and your clients is governed by Stripe’s terms; we are not a party to it and take no part of what your clients pay you.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Kairos to break the law, to invoice for things that didn’t happen, to interfere with the service or other users, or to reverse-engineer it. Don’t share an account. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
The service
We work to keep Kairos available and correct, and we back up its data, but we provide it “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change features over time; we won’t remove something you rely on without notice. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 60 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ParallelTPA LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost revenue or data, arising from your use of Kairos. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits; there, they apply as far as permitted.
Ending things
You can stop using Kairos and delete your account at any time. We can end this agreement if you break it, or otherwise with notice. Sections about your data, liability and governing law survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to your own courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. For changes that matter we will say so in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Kairos after that means you accept the new terms.
